Sadly no run this week. I’ve picked up a bit of a cold, which normally wouldn’t phase me, but it’s come with a temperature – so high overnight in fact, my cat thought me a human hot water bottle and slept on top of me all night.
So instead, I’ll refer to Saturday’s music, which came care of a trainer’s session in Clubbercise. I’ll talk more about it in a full post later this week, but it’s best described as a 90s/00s club night, when you can dance yourself silly, without your feet protesting at the platform heels you’ve put on and there’s no sleazy chap to chat you up at the bar.
And there are glowsticks.
Bliss.
So we’ll kick things off with a nice little 90s rave.
The Key, The Secret, Urban Cookie Collective. As soon as this came on, I was dragged back to my high school days, when dance exploded onto the scene. A brilliant track to run, dance and spin to. And if you’re a anything like me, you’ll be singing it for the rest of the day.
No Good, The Prodigy – another brilliant one from nineties that lives happily on my running tracks. It’s also a brilliant spin track, you can easily build in sprint and recovery sections.
Though the video is a little raunchy and you certainly won’t find me exercising in a thong (nobody needs to see that), Call on Me from Eric Prydz is still one of those that gets me moving. Great for a slower run, or even a toning session.
I daren’t upload any more, I’ll give away the full session! Look for a post from me on Clubbercise, or even better, hit their Facebook page for full information.
