Advertising, Media and PR

The Pickled Ginger is a Manchester based food and drink blog, open to review, travel and contribution opportunities, hosted by Charlie Hooson-Sykes.

The blog was established in May 2012 (under the heading Gin Fuelled Bluestocking), and ranks well in Google (other search engines may be available), receiving 5-6000 visitors a month.

I update the site regularly, ensuring content is up to date and constantly refreshed.

I work within Manchester primarily (though regularly travel for reviews and events). I’ve worked with charities, brands and fellow bloggers. I also provide copywriting services, and blogger outreach.

Becoming an Advertiser or Sponsor

The site is open to affiliate marketing, and advertising but not to sponsored content or guest posts. Prices and terms available on request and subject to negotiation.

Site Statistics and Highlights

This website receives around 5-6000 visitors per month. I also have a fledgling site covering health and fitness, Coffee and Creatine.

I am active in all areas of social media, including Twitter (11.5k), Instagram (3.1k), Facebook, LinkedIn as well as forums and online communities.

In addition to the blog, I am a freelance writer, run gin tastings, and I have run workshops in varied subjects, such as craft, feminism and body positivity.

Media:

I’ve given a number of interviews on the Radio (BBC Radio Ulster, BBC Radio 3 Counties and BBC Radio Five Live) and have appeared in programmes such as Right on the Money (BBC One), Ruth Watson’s Hotel Rescue (Channel 4), Alex Polizi – The Fixer (BBC Two), BBC Breakfast, and on a number of programmes on That’s Manchester.

If you’d like to contact me all you need to do is drop me an email – and I’ll be in touch.
