Socks. They’re practical, essential, but not necessarily fun.
But allow me to introduce you to Professor Brian Sox, of Soxford University.
Given his resemblance to a certain other professor, with a very similar name who has an office in my building, I couldn’t really pass up the opportunity to try them out. He’s even as curious as his namesake.
If perhaps a little more accident prone.
So Professor Brian Sox was sent from the lovely people at Chatty Feet and welcomed to the family.
And almost immediately set to work. A professor has got to earn his keep.
The soft, thick cotton proved a little too slippy at times on the mat, but he fit very comfortably and seemed to enjoy the early morning stretch.
I’m not sure sure he enjoyed waiting for the gym though – crammed inside my trainers while I used something a little more elegant for the office. Sorry prof, elegant you aren’t.
He coped rather well, and when it came to gym itself, he was comfortable, protective and though his confines weren’t exactly pleasant (I’ve had these trainers a long time), he excelled himself. Not a complaint was heard.
In fact, he’s enjoyed himself so much, he’s been out for a run over the weekend and enjoyed himself immensely (my running trainers are much nicer), staying with me for a full half marathon distance.
He hasn’t faded once, and nothing has bobbled him – not even further exploration of the washing machine, er, I mean universe.
Which bodes well for a scientist.
With thanks to the lovely people at Chatty Feet, these socks were sent for review purposes. The quality is excellent and the fact that they’re not just an ordinary pair of white trainer socks, which I normally wear for the gym, amuses me no end.
