The Colour Run – the happiest 5K in the world is back in Manchester at the Etihad Stadium on 5th July. A 5km run with stages around the course where you’re wise to slow down so you can get covered in powder paint and glitter, before dashing to the next one and the next colour. 

The idea is to get as messy as possible – and at the end you get a pack of powder paint or two of your own to throw at your friends, as well as music to bounce to and all for charity. 

I’ve registered, paid my fees and joined my team – with Cottonopolis WI – but if you haven’t and you fancy a run around, here’s you chance.

I have a pair of passes, including t-shirt, headband and temporary tattoo to give away. You can enter until midnight on 19 June, plenty of time to get your runners out and get some practice in.
