And so we’re edging towards the end of the month already, and on a personal note I’m going to panic about a knitting project I’m running out of time to finish.
But enough about that, this week is all about snuggling up, getting cosy, and a little cheese and wine. Enjoy!

Hale has a new venue, in Recardo’s. Launching formally this week, by day it’s a floral patisserie and botanical-themed coffee bar, in the evening it turns into a den for drinking and dancing. On Friday and Saturday nights the doors open to their basement club, with a capacity for 200 people. Think Studio 54 with plush booths, table service with cocktails and fine wines. Oh and the name? That’ll be from it’s owner, Recardo Patrick, from 70s band Sweet Sensation.
Bar Hutte is back! After their summer transformation into a beach hut, they’re back with a much cosier theme. Snuggle in for drinks with mates, a full on karaoke sing song, or a Santa themed party. Having loved their summer fun, I genuinely can’t wait to book myself and the girls in for a cheesy night of drinks and festive music. Who’s in?

Manchester Folk Festival kicks off on Thursday (running through to Sunday). Catch a whole host of live music across the city, at venues including The Briton’s Protection, The Ritz, The Anthony Burgess Foundation, and their host venue HOME. Proof have a kitchen take over this weekend with Archchi’s – returning after 12 months, their Sri Lankan themed menu will be a proper antidote to the weather currently outside my window. They’re serving this Friday and Saturday, and booking is recommended so you don’t miss out!
